American Gohn Dagow Bend Center

Futzu Hickmond began studying Gohn Dagow with Futzu Treon in 1973. He became an instructor in 1975. He continued to study with Futzu Treon until 1980, when he moved to Bend, Oregon and opened the American Gohn Dagow Association center there. Futzu Hickmond continued to study with Futsu Treon for 25 years, until Futsu Treon's death in 1998. Futzu Hickmond then became the director of the American Gohn Dagow Association.

Futzu Hickmond has been teaching in Bend, Oregon for 25 years. Classes meet once a week for two hours. Class size is limited to between 10 and 12 persons to insure quality, individualized instruction. Private lessons are available.

A variety of classes, workshops, and seminars exist. Traditional classes consist of meditation, philosophy training, and physical movements for health and self defense, including, but not limited to: boxing (using hands and feet), holds, and throws. Workshops and seminars are presented in a variety of topics, including: meditative and energy (chi gong) movements, boxing (using hands and feet), holds, breaks, throws, and rape awareness. Self defense classes for women only are available, as well as mother/daughter classes. A person must be at least 18 years of age to be in the traditional adult classes. However, classes for persons under 18 years of age are also available.
